Congratulations to Antonia Wilson and Legato Vocal Ensemble for winning the award for Outstanding Traditional Recording Group or Duo. Thank you  Marlin Awards for this most prestigious nomination and award.

March On Bahamaland, composed by the late Timothy Gibson, debuted on July 10, 1973. Bahamians everywhere watched as the new national flag of black, gold, and aquamarine was raised into the sky as a symbol of freedom and the start of a new era. This arrangement of the Bahamian National Anthem, created by Antonia N. Wilson and featuring Legato Vocal Ensemble, presents a thought-provoking view into the progressiveness of a beautiful nation under God's watchful eye, while holding on to the musical and lyrical integrity envisioned by the original composer. When one listens to this acapella rendition, the harmonies symbolize a nation constantly moving while building towards a great end. We hope that Bahamians everywhere are moved by this piece, while holding true to the vision and hope of a better Bahamas and steadily carrying the country hand in hand, "Forward, Upward, Onward, Together.”

Written by Francis Scott Key on September 14, 1814, the lyrics of the Star Spangled Banner resonate with people in different ways for different reasons. This unique rendition of the National Anthem, beautifully arranged by Antonia Wilson, encourages continued reflection on the sacrifices that were made to ensure the freedoms we enjoy as a nation.  

In this vibrant and exuberant rendition of He’s Sweet I Know, Antonia N. Wilson and Legato Vocal Ensemble take you on a culturally infused excursion saturated in the rhythmic influences of reggae, dancehall, and calypso. Displaying a combination of many customs found throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean, this song brings people together from all nations in a united celebration with joyous exaltations and heartfelt testimonies.
