Legato Vocal Ensemble is a culturally diverse team of vocal powerhouses who have been essential in bringing Antonia "Toni" Wilson's musical vision to life. Drawing inspiration from the rich blend of voices and personalities that make up the ensemble, Ms. Wilson crafts ingenious works of art that span a range of genres including classical, gospel, rap, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, soul, and rock. Her musical brilliance shines as she masterfully intertwines these diverse styles, creating a unique sound that distinguishes LoVE as one of the most skilled and well-rounded groups in South Florida.
To date, LoVE has shared their music domestically and abroad, with tours in Mexico, Spain, and The Bahamas. They have performed alongside renowned gospel and secular industry artists such as Byron Cage, Earnest Pugh, Cece Winans, Ben Tankard, and Barry Ivan White. Their recordings include No Man's Land featuring Joss Stone and Jeff Beck as well as two CD projects, Me & Hymn and The Sower & the Seed Featuring Joss Stone, all written and arranged by Ms. Wilson. Their 2023 Christmas single, If Jesus Was Born in Nassau Town, written by Audrey Florence Dean-Wright and arranged by Ms. Wilson, was recently nominated for Traditional Song of the Year by the Bahamas Gospel Music Awards.
Looking ahead, Legato Vocal Ensemble has exciting plans for a double CD release featuring a cappella and fully orchestrated works of original and well-known songs. United by a belief in the power of life and love, this ensemble is dedicated to reaching people of all cultures, races, and backgrounds, strengthening family bonds, and exemplifying God's love through diverse musical harmonies and selfless actions. Their motto, "Learn, Encourage, Give, Affirm, and Teach Others to LoVE" (LEGATO LoVE), encapsulates their mission.
Known for taking “the chaos of life and turning it into harmonies and beautiful melodies,” true legend in the making of gospel and inspirational music, Antonia “Ms. Toni” Wilson is a gifted songwriter, vocal arranger, vocal coach, pianist, and singer. Although she has been influenced by Quincy Jones, Kirk Franklin, and Richard Smallwood, it is her years of experience, her talent for writing and arranging astounding pieces, and her assertive leadership that allow her to unite the best performance musicians who work with many high-profile gospel, jazz, and secular artists including Melton Mustafa, Sr., Joss Stone, Cece Winans, Donald Harrison, Mark Whitfield, and Benny Golson.
From childhood, Antonia achieved certificates of merit in pianoforte from The Associated Board of The Royal School of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College London. Antonia has equipped herself with 3 degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Master of Arts in Reading Education from Florida Memorial University along with a Master of Arts in Music from Florida International University. This structured music professional and educator continues to assist teachers in Broward County and Miami-Dade County schools with specialized coaching sessions and clinics, while simultaneously working with multiple faith-based organizations.
Family keeps Antonia grounded. This Bahamian-American artist residing in South Florida is part of a multi-cultural American-Bahamian-Colombian-Jamaican family where she is a wife to Harvey Carmona, mom to 5 young adults, and grandma to 3 beautiful children.
Angela “Angie” Berry has been a law enforcement officer for 21 years. Her Guyanese and South American roots allow her to bring a unique flair to her special events business, Events by Elegant Affairs. Angie holds degrees in Business Administration and Criminal Justice Management as well as a certificate in Homeland Security. She 's the mother of one son, Vaughn Christopher Berry. Angie passionately believes that “the true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching.”
Born in New York City, Harvey Carmona’s interest in singing began at an early age. Unable to pursue his musical interest until joining Legato Vocal Ensemble, Harvey welcomes the education, training, and opportunities that he has received at the hands of his wife, Antonia N. Wilson. His rich Colombian heritage, humor, and steadiness along with the discipline, integrity, and work ethic that he developed as a former U.S. marine make him a tremendous asset to the vocal ensemble. He has 4 decades in warehousing and distribution management and enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Haitian American Darlene Fontus has worked for Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a band director for – years. She is a proud alumna of Florida A & M University and Barry University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, respectively. She also owns The Crochet Effect, LLC and is an active member of several organizations including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Gamma Sigma Service Sorority, and Order of the Eastern Star Women of Distinction #6.
Keysha Monét Edwards is an accomplished pianist, singer/songwriter, and recording artist. Raised in the Bahamas, Keysha knew from an early age that she would live a fulfilled life with her God-given talents. A proud alumna of the
University of Miami, she records her own music, serves as a pianist and teaches piano at her specialty school, KPS Muzic. She is a background vocalist for several artists, as well as a published author.
Bermuda native, Levi Kelly, is a vocal psalmist and drummer. He fondly recalls barely being able to reach the drum foot pedal when he first learned to play at the tender age of 3. Raised by a family of clergymen, Levi is known for his positive disposition and ability to see the silver lining in every situation. He is a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves and has been a Supply Chain Professional for over 20 years. Aside from blessing others through song, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and family.
First performing at the tender age of seven, Donald Lowe’s love for music resulted in a journey leading him to a high school specializing in the Vocal Arts for Classical Opera and a full collegiate musical scholarship. Donald has worked in Healthcare Information Technology as an engineer for two decades. He is happily married to fellow singer, Faith Lowe, and is a father to one son.
Faith Ngozi Lowe fully embodies her Nigerian ancestry. She is a vibrant yet deeply reflective soul who puts her family first. Faith first began singing in church as a little girl; since then, her love for music flourished. A founding member of the vocal ensemble, Faith perceives Legato as a vehicle to grow her musical gifts and skills as well as encourage others. She is a certified insurance claims adjuster, wife to fellow singer Donald Lowe, and a mother of one son.
Of Jamaican descent, Beaven Ploché is a Healthcare IT professional with a background in electrical engineering. He is a proud alumnus of Florida International University. A disciple of Christ and a pragmatist, Beaven seeks the Lord’s guidance in his interactions while reminding others that “resourcefulness is a commonsense approach to intelligence.” His children are his greatest accomplishment.
With family origins in the U.S Virgin Islands, Juwan Rogers is a loving, caring, and trustworthy individual. Diagnosed with autism at age 12, Juwan strives to complete the tasks before him. He is the proud graduate of Greater Miami Adventist Academy and recently completed an Associate of Arts degree in Music Education at Miami Dade College. He is actively pursuing an undergraduate degree at Florida International University and is a member of the National Society of Leadership Success.
Haitian American, Carleen Vincent-Robinson, is an educator at heart. Having obtained five degrees, including two doctorates, Carleen is a university administrator and professor. She sits on the Board of Directors for several local and national organizations and still finds the time to facilitate transformative workshops aimed at deepening people’s understanding of race and ethnic relations, mentor junior faculty, and host leadership development trainings. When not working, she enjoys cruising around the globe with her husband and two daughters.
Bahamian native, Carlisa Waters, is a business owner who manages and produces events and concerts. Having been raised in a musical family, she embarked upon her musical journey at age 2 and has been a worship leader and performer for more than 20 years. Carlisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida Memorial University and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work from Florida International University. Carlisa's passion for children led her to work for the Child Welfare Agency in Broward County, Florida. She enjoys music, traveling, reading, shopping, spending time with loved ones and is the mother of 2 adorable little girls.

The excitement Behind the Scenes on the set of He's Sweet I Know was nothing sort of extraordinary. Cultures were compared and enjoyed while everyone worked seamlessly to produce a great production of Caribbean Vibes. Many thanks to the participants from The University of The Bahamas Choir, Tapper and the video crew, as well as members of Legato Vocal Ensemble for giving nothing less than their very best on the set. A great work only takes great sacrifice...then there's the creativity and combining ingenuity that represents all sides, all hearts and minds to become one and reflect the idea of total genius.
